Cruise Facilities

The Port of Dover has two impressive state-of-the-art terminals that between them can accommodate up to three ships at once.

Location too is impressive: perfectly positioned for cruise passangers to take full advantage of excellent pre and post cruise accommodation and historic attractions in the region.

Both terminals provide:

A third terminal, is available for small ship visits.

Cruise Terminal 1

Originally built in 1914 as Dover Marine Railway Station, the building has since been renovated to the highest standard as a state-of-the-art cruise terminal, but retaining the old station architecture for cruise clients to enjoy whilst relaxing in the stunning modern-day departure lounge.

And for those interested in the history of the port – reflecting its heritage as a royal gateway over the centuries – information boards tell its fascinating story.

General Services:

  • Porters - Departing and arriving, cruise passengers are helped with their luggage by experienced and friendly porters.
  • Bureau de change - Cruise Terminal 1 has a dedicated currency exchange service for all ports of call and for selected turnaround cruises.
  • Catering facilities - Unwinding in the stylish café, cruise passengers can relax with a drink and light refreshment whilst enjoying the atmosphere of the building’s iconic architecture.

Cruise Terminal 2

The largest of the terminals, Cruise Terminal 2 was purpose built in 2000 along the lines of an airport terminal. It is sleek and modern; every inch a 21st century cruise terminal.

From the first floor departure lounge cruise clients can experience unimpeded, spectacular views of the harbour, the world-renowned White Cliffs and Dover Castle.
